Mamelodi Sundowns won the treble in the past season 2019 – 2020. However in the post match interview with Supersport TV, their then coach Pitso “Jingles” Mosimane stated that he was not too happy with the victory. This is the same game where Tebogo Langerman blunder occurred, whereby he was listed in the team sheet, while he had 4 yellow cards and was supposed to be suspended for that game.
In response to the Langerman blunder, Sundowns President Dr Patrice Motsepe mentioned that such errors won’t be acceptable at Sundowns and the action will be taken again those in the wrong.
On Wednesday Pitso Mosimane resigned from Sundowns to join the most successful team in Africa, Al Ahly in Egypt.
During the post match interview, Pitso stated that he is not happy with the win “because when the tough was going on, a lot of people didn’t believe in the team, lot if people didn’t believe in me, only the yellow nation (Sundowns fans), those who come here every time, those are the people who supported us.”
“We had a lot of pressure (from) outside and internal in the club, to be honest, people doubting me. But god is there for me, these boys made it possible, for me to can look back at those people (his doubters) and say what are you saying now, look at me now. But it is not about being vindictive.” Pitso went further and said it has been hard for him in the bubble, he gets paid to do this.
