Following his team’s emphatic win against TP Mazembe in the final group match, Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies coach Jerry Tshabalala is expecting a tough encounter against Simba Queens in the semi-finals of the Caf Women’s Champions League.
The Cup holders, who beat Mazembe 4-0, will slug it out with Group A runners-up Simba Queens in the semi-final in Rabat and Kappa as fondly called is looking forward to what he considered the ‘toughest game’.
“You know everybody was looking forward to this semi-final match. Finally, it is here. I respect Simba and one thing I like about them is that they knock the ball around and also got strong players,” said Tshabalala.
“They also know how to break the runs. Basically, it going to be the toughest game of this competition but we will be ready for them. We are also looking forward to meeting them. We’ve got plans for them hopefully our plan we work out the way we want,” he added.
The much-anticipated semi-final clash will be played on Wednesday at the Prince Heritier Moulay El Hassan Stadium in Rabat.
In the other semi-final encounter, ASFAR of Morocco will face Bayelsa Queens FC of Nigeria.
The final of the competition will be on Sunday.
