DStv Premiership has kicked off with MTN Top8 Cup on weekend. First match was between Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila and Supersport United in Thohoyandou Stadium, in which TTM lost 3 – 2 to Matsatsantsa a Pitori.
Second match was between Orlando Pirates and Cape Town City on Saturday evening. Bucs came out victorious in the game.
On Sunday, Kaizer Chiefs hosted Maritzburg United at FNB stadium, in this game Amakhosi came back from 1 – 0 loss at half time to beat Maritzburg United, 2 – 1.

Mamelodi Sundowns entertained Bloemfontein Celtic at Lucas Moripe Stadium on Sunday evening, Celtic managed to beat Sundowns 1 – 0 to secure a spot on the semi-final of MTN Top 8.

After the Sundowns vs Celtic game, PSL conducted a draw for the MTN Top8 Semifinal to be held on the weekend 30 October 2020. The draw outcome was as follows:
