Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Richard Ofori has been excluded in Ghana‘s squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Ofori was initially included in the 55-man provisional squad by coach Otto Addo but was ruled out of the Qatar tournament after he injured himself during the MTN8 final against AmaZulu.
As a result, Ghana have been forced to name three inexperienced goalkeepers after their first two choices Ofori and Jojo Wollacott from Charlton Athletic were both injured in action.
The squad will be captained by Dede Ayew, who was part of the team that reached the quarterfinals in South Africa in 2010.
