Themba Zwane continues to take the 20/21 season by storm, if he is not scoring a hattrick or assisting teammates, Mshishi is racking up awards. Picking up from last season’s haul of Player of the Season, Players’ Player of the Season, Midfielder of the Season and the SAFJA Player of the Season, Mshishi has now picked up the inaugural Player of the Month award with his six goals in six games for the Brazilians.
“I’m feeling good, especially that I have won this trophy. The aim was to start on a high note and to be consistent, and to try to help my team to win. I wanted to work hard for the team, I’m happy that I started well.”
Zwane currently leads the DStv Premiership goal scoring charts, but the enigmatic forward continues to push himself to greater heights.
“My aim now is to improve the Themba Zwane of last season and to win trophies with my team.”
With new signings, Shalulile & Erasmus joining Zwane in leading the front line and all finding the back of the net with a joint five goals respectively murmurs around whether the Brazilians can surpass the seventy-one point haul – the highest ever points haul in Absa Premiership history they accumulated in the 2015/2016 season, have begun to surface.
“We can do it, with the quality players that we have and the way we started and be consistent, we can do it.”
“It’s been good for me because those two guys (Erasmus & Shalulile), they work hard and you know, what I’m happy about is that we understand each other. We will keep on pushing, we will try to trade more goals, score more goals, and work as a team. What makes me the happiest is that we understand each other very well, and that makes things easier for us on the field.”
The Brazilians are next in action on the 15 December when they take on TS Galaxy.
