Bidvest Wits are scheduled to play Mamelodi Sundowns in the second game of the doubleheader Nedbank Cup Semifinals at Orlando Stadium. This game will take place at 19h00, just after the first game of doubleheader post-Corona lockdown, that is between Baroka FC and Bloemfontein Celtic that is scheduled to start at 14h00.
Bidvest Wits will be hoping to win the Nedbank Cup for the first time since 2010 while being coached by Roger De Sa, they will be playing the 2015 Nebnak Champion who will be hoping to win the second trophy under the leadership of Pitso Mosimane.
It is an open secret that Bidvest Wits has been sold to Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila, who will be participating in the PSL in the next season. However, there has not dampened the mood and ambition of Bidvest Wits Camp. According to the Bidvest Wits website, the Bidvest Wits technical team and players are hard at work with an obvious desire to finish the campaign on the field of play.
According to Bidvest Wits’s website, Kgaogelo Sekgota stated that “It is good to be back after a long time, football is something that we love and live for so this is a great feeling,” The 23 years old striker further said following a training session at Sturrock Park. “It is all about the dedication that you have, your goals in life. You have to stay strong. Challenges come and go, you just need to be mentally strong and remain focussed. We are in the Nedbank Cup semifinals and we still have a few league games left so there is still a lot to play for.
“Obviously we are a big team with a good coach that has a lot of experience. We have a squad full of national team players so we will remain competitive and professional up until the end of the season,” he concluded.
