Mamelodi Sundowns played against Orlando Pirates at Dobsonville stadium. This was the second Sundowns game in 3 days and the first game for the sea robbers since the resumption of the PSL game post the Corona ban suspension.
The game started off with Sundowns attacking and putting Pirates under pressure, however, pirates seems to get back in the game after about half an hour of play.
Fortune Makaringe hit the post in the 57th minute having beaten Dennis Onyango.
Pirates’ Coach stated that he was fine with a 0 – 0 score as he could see that the team had not played in a while and the performance of the team had improved in the second half.

Although, the two teams take one point each and this put the brakes on Sundowns’ run in on the Amakhosi the log leader.

In the post-match interview, Pitso Mosimane stated that it was a game of two halves, the first half he believes Sundowns performed well and the second half they did not perform too well.
