The Soweto giant had a few opportunities in the game with Vincent Pule’s narrowly wide shot at the 10th while City had their first chance in the 15th minutes when Mduduzi Mdantsane’s free-kick from the left-hand side.
Bucs coach Josef Zinnbauer’s exclusion of Gabadinho Mhango was a surprise exclusion from the Pirates’ starting line-up which also sparked a lot of outrage from the fans.
Orlando Pirates is in the fifth position with 43 points while Cape Town City in the 7th position with 36 points at the end of the match.
“We are not sure of what exactly is happening with our club, we cannot say it’s the lockdown because these performances are really demoralizing,” said Pirates Fan.
