Mamelodi Sundowns are closing closing in on the log leaders, Kaizer Chiefs after a late goal securing a win against Golden Arrows on Monday Night at the Dobsonville Stadium.

This was a very important match for Brazilians as it could determine their chance at clinching the Absa Premiership Title. Both sides were equal to the task as we could see the tactics from the two coaches in the field of play.

Pitso’s men dominated the 63% of the possession with 16 shots and 5 shots on target while Komphela’s men dominated with 37% possesion with 8 shots and only 1 shot on target. The Masandawana’s desperation was felt in the game as they werre without Denis Onyango , Ricardo Nascimento and Andile Jali.

Pitso made a double change after an hour-mark as Themba Zwane came on Sirino while Keletso Makgalwa replaced Mahlambi while hoping for a change in the game. Komphela’s charges struggled to carve out openings and their resilience was broken in the last minute when Zwane got the winning goal with a first-time strike from Lebohang Maboe’s cross giving Sundowns three points behind Amakhosi.
