The Soweto giant issued an update on the Nigerian goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi after he suffered a concussion on Sunday during the match against Bidvest Wits at the FNB Stadium.
The Nigerian goalie collided with Mxolisi Macuphu and which resulted in his substitution for Bruce Bvuma just before half-time.
“Daniel Akpeyi suffered a concussion on Sunday against Wits. He is ruled out for the next two matches. The medical team will continue monitoring his recovery process. We wish him a speedy recovery,” Kaizer Chiefs said on their official Twitter account.
Amakhosi lost to the Clever Boys in 1-0 score at the Absa Premiership on Sunday.
Kaizer Chiefs remains the log leaders and will be playing Chippa United and Baroka FC in their final two matches.
